Boris Koltsov became the first Russian athlete in history to win the main part of the World Darts Championship.

In the first round, Koltsov defeated Jermain Vattimena from the Netherlands with a score of 3: 0. His next opponent will be another representative of the Netherlands, Dirk van Duuvenbode (17th seed), this meeting will take place on December 22.

The World Darts Championship is held in London. The current champion is Welshman Gerwin Price. Koltsov can meet with him in the 1/8 finals.
