Dvorkovich said he firmly intends to be re-elected to the post of head of FIDE

President of the International Chess Federation (FIDE) Arkady Dvorkovich told TASS that he intends to run in the new elections for the head of the organization, which will be held in 2022.

“I am determined to run and am happy to announce it today,” Dvorkovich said.

Dvorkovich has been the head of the international federation since October 2018.

In 2007-2010, Dvorkovich was vice-president of the Russian Chess Federation (FSHR), and from 2010 to 2014 - the chairman of the supervisory board, at the moment he is a member of the FSHR board of trustees.

Former Deputy Prime Minister (2012-2018) Dvorkovich has been the chairman of the Skolkovo Foundation since September 2018.
