Russian boxer Beterbiev got eight stitches after defending titles

Russian boxer Artur Beterbiev received eight stitches due to a deep cut in his forehead after a fight against American Marcus Brown, in which he defended two light heavyweight titles. The brother and trainer of the Russian boxer Abakar Beterbiev told RIA Novosti about this.

“Arthur got a very deep and wide cut in this fight. It came after another hard head bump with Brown. But Arthur was not at a loss in this situation, became even angrier and even with such a wound brought the fight to a knockout, ”said Abakar Beterbiev.

According to him, the stitches should be removed in about two weeks.

The fight took place on Saturday night in Montreal, Beterbiev knocked out Brown in the ninth round.
