Like last year, "Taraz" continued the course of maximum trust in local players and once again announced only five legionnaires for the season. The bbabo.net correspondent tells how a modest club supplies personnel to the youth and national team of Kazakhstan.

Now "Taraz" has the smallest number of foreigners among the KPL teams, although until recently it seemed that "Ordabasy" could play without them at all, but in the end, Shymkent players nevertheless disappointed and went on the usual course, having already signed more than five legionnaires.

"Taraz" meanwhile managed to keep several leaders among the Kazakhs, in particular Yeldos Akhmetov and Bauyrzhan Baitana. At the same time, he returned another pupil - Nurlan Dairov.

In the first and second rounds, Taraz had nine Kazakhstanis in the starting lineup, no KPL club has produced so many local players. At the same time, "Taraz" adequately played two southern derbies, not losing on the road to the ambitious "Turan" and beating "Ordabasy". The winning goal in the second match was organized by the pupils of the club of different generations - Baytana assisted, Zhumabek completed.

It is important to note that the Kazakh part of the Taraz squad is really competitive, because their players regularly receive calls to the national teams. For example, the head coach of the national team Andrei Karpovich included in the list for the upcoming matches with Moldova three representatives of Taraz - goalkeeper Muhammedjan Seisen, defender Nurlan Dairov and midfielder Bauyrzhan Baytana.

In turn, the head coach of the youth team Kairat Nurdauletov attracted even more Taraz players, including defender Zhalgas Zhaksylykov, midfielders Dinmukhamed Karaman and Yersultan Kaldybekov, as well as forward Abylaikhan Zhumabek. It is the "youth team" that is now supplied with more personnel only by "Kairat" (seven players were called from the Almaty club).

There may be many questions about Taraz in terms of organization, funding and choice of coaches, but its identity and trust in its own pupils cannot be ignored. I must say that interesting players grow out of this local selection almost every year, and in some periods they even find the future leaders of the Kazakhstan national team, as was the case with Bauyrzhan Islamkhan and Bakhtiyor Zainutdinov.
