The 28-year-old defender took part in the Army Men's comeback against Dynamo in the fourth match of the series: CSKA won the game, trailing 0-3 by the tenth minute.

Kazakhstan national team player scored two points at the end of the meeting. At 55 minutes, Dietz scored a goal with a cannon throw on the power play, and after 31 seconds he scored an assist.
