The artistic director of the Sovremennik Theater, Viktor Ryzhakov, has been diagnosed with a new strain of coronavirus, REN TV reports with reference to a cultural institution.

Now Ryzhakov observes self-isolation and continues to work remotely, as he tolerates the disease easily. “At the beginning of the week, he had an omicron. The disease resolves without any complications. Its course is monitored by specialists from the 52nd hospital, and the family doctor also helps, ”the theater specified.

Doctors believe that there is no cause for concern, and soon Ryzhakov can return to his usual way of life.

In December 2020, Ryzhakov was already ill with coronavirus, the disease was mild, the director and professor at the Moscow Art Theater School also observed quarantine at home.

Earlier, the media reported that Ryzhakov was in the hospital with the coronavirus.
