Russia - What language do young artists, poets and writers of Belarus, Russia and Ukraine speak

Russia (bbabo.net), - In St. Petersburg, in one of the most beautiful buildings of Nevsky Prospekt - the Actor's House - a meeting of the creative intelligentsia of Belarus, Russia and Ukraine "Minsk Initiative" was opened for the seventh time. And gloomy, including in the political sense, February is not a hindrance to her.

"I will not talk about the ups and downs of the current international situation, this is a pointless exercise, but the very fact that we continue to meet is very important," said the Special Representative of the President of Russia for International Cultural Relations, co-chairman of the Interstate Fund for Humanitarian Cooperation of States, opening the humanitarian project. Members of the CIS Mikhail Shvydkoy - States have different periods of development, different differences in relations, but peoples communicate in a longer historical perspective, and our meeting is evidence of this.

There are also tangible results. Over the past seven years of the existence of the Minsk Initiative, the three countries have taken part in more than 40 joint activities and projects in the field of fine arts, history and philosophy, publishing, theater and cinema. Especially bright and discussed were traditional seminars for translators from one Slavic language to another called "Shkerebert" (in Ukrainian "somersault"), issues of almanacs of young poetry, new prose and dramaturgy, literary essays.

"In 2015, in a situation of acute political turbulence in our region, educators, scientists and cultural figures gathered and discussed the prospects and opportunities for cooperation in these difficult conditions," said Dmitry Budkov, executive director of the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation. "The pandemic situation is a new aspect of our cooperation, new experience. And he once again emphasizes the importance of maintaining contacts between the intelligentsia of Ukraine, Russia and Belarus."

How do you manage to do something together when politics and unfriendliness are all around?

"The first condition of the project from the very beginning is to gather people of good will who are ready to leave their political convictions, those who understand the importance and necessity of maintaining contacts," Dmitry Budkov answers the most difficult question of the meeting. run out, so we need people who will be the first to reach out to another."

The theme of the "Minsk Initiative-2022" itself does not imply any boundaries and divisions. These are "New artistic languages and technologies as ways of rethinking cultural experience". Kirill Gavrilin, Head of the Department of Art History and Humanities at the Stroganov Moscow State Art Academy, spoke about how common it was for the three Slavic countries, how some artists quoted and creatively reworked others. According to him, contemporary artists of Belarus, Russia and Ukraine are much more famous in the world than in neighboring countries. However, contemporary art is necessarily a dialogue with tradition, and Drozdovich, Bogaevsky, Malevich, Lissitzky and other discoverers of the new art of the 20th century equally belong to Belarus, Russia and Ukraine. This tradition is also rooted in the latest digital art, for which there are no boundaries.

Useful news of the project "Heritage of the Commonwealth. Traditions for the Future" was shared by Anna Grigoryeva from the All-Russian Museum of Decorative Arts. According to her, an information resource united for all Commonwealth countries will soon start working, where it will be possible to quickly exchange the attribution of exhibits, share the intricacies of the restoration of art objects, and receive any information useful in the work of museum workers. The art historian invited her colleagues from Ukraine to participate in the "Invented and Made in Russia" contest. This is a creative competition of designers, and Belarusians are already participating in it with pleasure. And the prizes here are very worthy: the things of the winners will go to the museum fund.

Right at the conference, the idea came up to invite wonderful photographers from Belarus of the “borrowed photos” direction with an exposition of photo collages to the Exhibition Hall of the State University. Talking about the famous works of Sergei Kozhemyakin, Igor Savchenko and Galina Moskaleva, Anna Makarevich, an art critic from the Belarusian State University of Culture and Art, dwelled on the means by which photo artists try to show the place of a person in a changing world. "The more technological art becomes, the less unique it is? This is not entirely true," she refutes the established opinion.
