Russia (bbabo.net), - The National Library of Belarus has opened an exposition dedicated to the family of the last Russian emperor. The project "The Crowned Family. The Path of Love" tells about the life, service and spiritual path of Emperor Nicholas II, Empress Alexandra Feodorovna, Tsarevich Alexei, Grand Duchesses Olga, Tatyana, Maria and Anastasia.
- The height of the moral image of the family of Nicholas II is related not only to Russia, but also to Belarus, - said the Patriarchal Exarch of All Belarus, Metropolitan of Minsk and Zaslavl Veniamin at the opening of the exhibition. - Then we were a single country. The Russian emperor was at headquarters in Mogilev. The exhibition, which has already taken place in this city, will continue to travel around Belarus. The project allows you to rethink a lot and learn from history. This is especially important in the Year of Historical Memory. Visitors will discover love for their homeland and neighbors, family.
Numerous photographs and reproductions of paintings, biographies of the Romanov family, diary entries, documents, eyewitness accounts - more than 200 exhibits in total acquaint visitors with the history of the long-suffering crowned family. The black-and-white photographs capture various moments in the life of the royal family, from the childhood of Tsarevich Nicholas to the last days. Most of the frames are very personal, but their stories carry a great message, broadcasting an example of a Christian family and a life full of faith, love and service to the people.
“The project is designed to give us an example of family life, which helped the crowned family to endure the most difficult trials: illness, war, martyrdom,” Ilya Sidorovich, the author and curator of the project, press secretary of the diocesan administration of the Mogilev diocese of the Belarusian Orthodox Church, draws attention to the purpose of the exhibition. - This is an example of how a person can reach the kingdom of God through family life and love. Another task of the exposition is to erase slanderous clichés about the last Russian emperor.
The achievements of the reign of Tsar Nicholas II are presented on separate stands. There was a lot of controversy around his figure. They are still arguing. But in 2000, the Russian Orthodox Church canonized the last Russian Emperor Nicholas II and his family as holy martyrs.
The head of the Rossotrudnichestvo representative office in Belarus, Eduard Krustkaln, was impressed by the high scientific level of the exposition.
- The life of Nicholas II can give us a moral lesson. Through a spiritual approach to the history of the imperial family, we will take a different look at the history of the former Russia.
Three colors were chosen for the design of the exhibition. The white canvas is a kind of background for the family history of the crowned family. Burgundy symbolizes the period of the reign of the Russian Tsar. Black fabric frames stories about the tragic days of the dynasty.
The materials presented in the exposition allow us to take a fresh look at historical events and understand why the Orthodox Church canonized the crowned family as saints.
