The brother of the deceased rapper Drakeo the Ruler is suing the organizers of the Once Upon a Time music festival, where the musician was stabbed to death.
According to the man, the organizers did not provide the rapper with the necessary level of security. According to documents obtained by TMZ, a mob of 50-100 attackers attacked the rapper when he arrived at the concert. The fight lasted about 15 minutes.
The brother of the deceased pointed out that the Los Angeles Exposition Park, where the festival was held, was in the middle of a criminal district, and Drakeo had previously been threatened.
At the entrance to the festival, he claims, only two unarmed site employees were on duty, as well as several guards with a metal detector and a dog. At the same time, not every car was examined.
Among the defendants is the company of rapper Snoop Dogg LLC.
Drakeo the Ruler (real name Darrell Caldwell) was fatally shot in the neck in December 2021 backstage at the Once Upon A Time festival in Los Angeles. Performances by other well-known hip-hop artists (Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube, The Game, 50 Cent and YG) at the event have been cancelled.
