Russia - The most popular actors of Soviet cinema named

Russia (bbabo.net), - The Mosfilm Film Studio, which turns 98 on January 30, 2022, together with the Mosfilm Golden Collection TV channel, have compiled a rating of the most recognizable actors of Soviet cinema.

There were no surprises. Four of the five leaders of the Top 5 are also singing artists, and we love their songs as much as our movie roles.

This time the survey was conducted both on the streets of Moscow and online - its participants were asked to name Soviet actors, showing them many photographs. The most recognizable and popular was Yuri Nikulin (actor, collector of jokes, clown in his spare time, and then director of the Moscow Circus on Tsvetnoy Boulevard). It was named by 97 percent of the respondents.

Most of the respondents unmistakably recognized the actors. And those who did not often succeed were from 18 to 35 years old - which means they don’t watch Soviet cinema, even its Golden Collection. At the same time, in the Top 10 there were mostly actors who played their best roles in the 60-80s. And the earlier period of Soviet cinema was known to the respondents, alas, much less.

Rating of the most popular actors of Soviet cinema

Yuri Nikulin - 97%

Andrey Mironov - 96%

George Vitsin - 94%

Nikolay Karachentsov - 93%

Alexander Abdulov - 92.5%

Evgeny Leonov - 92%

Oleg Tabakov - 90%

Anatoly Papanov - 87%

Evgeny Morgunov - 86%

Andrey Myagkov - 85%
