Russia - Mishustin urged to fight nit-picking small businesses

Russia (bbabo.net), - Prime Minister Mikhail Mishutin considers it important to fight the blatant nit-picking of small businesses, for which hefty fines are issued for minor violations.

In a conversation with representatives of family businesses, the prime minister was told how one company was fined 250,000 rubles for the fact that, during an audit, it was revealed that "soap was not recorded on a separate card." The head of government called it nonsense and promised to deal with a specific case. "We must not allow this," he stressed.

"I'll be honest, when such cases happen - you yourself understand that in this sense it depends on a particular person - such a problem has a last name, first name, patronymic. Of course, we must fight this," Mishustin said.

The Prime Minister also called for minimizing bureaucracy in relation to entrepreneurs. He was told about how many reports must be submitted in order to receive agricultural grants, and asked to simplify the process. The prime minister noted that the State Duma had already made changes to the law on the development of agriculture, so that in order to receive state support, it would not be necessary to fill out a huge number of forms every time. And the Ministry of Agriculture is developing a digital information system, which should convert all formal procedures into electronic form.
