The managing director of The Gambia Ports Authority, Lamin Sanyang, has challenged the shipping agencies to be more committed in the execution of their duties by ensuring cargos destined to the ports and country are safe and reliable.

The new GPA boss was speaking on Tuesday, during a day’s familiarisation tour of its business partners within the maritime and shipping industry.

He was accompanied by the deputy managing director, Ousman Jobarteh, and other senior management staff of the Ports.
Sanyang noted that despite the long-standing relations, it is wise to meet their business partners to familiarise themselves with each other that will strengthen the working relationship and provide a better efficiency at work.
