The Russians were warned about a new scheme of scammers in the sale of housing

Honored Lawyer of Russia Ivan Solovyov told Prime about a new scheme of fraud in the sale of housing.

As an example, he spoke about a case in the Tomsk region. A woman put up a three-room apartment for sale, after posting an ad on the website, a potential buyer contacted her, who said that he was determined to buy housing and was ready to make an advance payment of 300 thousand rubles. so that the apartment does not go to another.

When asked by the woman how he was going to buy an apartment, without even looking at it, the swindler replied that he knew the area well, and had been visiting this house, so he was aware of the plans.

Having lulled all the suspicions of the owner of the property, the attacker said that he was working as a shift worker in an oil producing company and he was instructed to purchase diesel fuel. He found the right product at a bargain price, but while he goes for cash, the diesel will be bought out, so he needs to transfer 200 thousand rubles to the account. After that, the “buyer” of the apartment promised “from the fee and the profit received” to return the borrowed amount to the woman and make an advance payment for the apartment.

The victim tried to insist on performing all operations for making an advance payment personally, from hand, but "the interlocutor calmly but firmly stood his ground."

Then the woman withdrew 100 thousand rubles. from her account and took out a loan for another 150 thousand rubles. and cashed it out. She transferred all the money except for the bank commission to the pseudo-buyer.

After the transfer of money, the fraudster stopped answering phone calls and the victim turned to law enforcement agencies.

Earlier it was reported that scammers began to use a scheme with QR codes to deceive.
