The Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation, together with other departments, is developing a draft of a new system of remuneration for school teachers. This was reported to TASS in the press service of the ministry.
It is clarified that the new system will allow setting the rate and subsequently help to correct the current situation with low teachers' salaries. The new system will be presented for public discussion in 2022, the press service of the ministry specified.
Earlier, the Ministry of Education provided data according to which more than 75% of Russian teachers receive a salary below the minimum wage (minimum wage). It is noted that the minimum wage in Russia in 2021 amounted to 12.8 thousand rubles.
The data also noted that the regions apply their own methods and approaches to remuneration of teachers. Because of this, there is a lack of transparency in the calculation of allowances and the principles for accounting for various payments.
In December, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said at a government meeting that Russian state employees would receive an increase in salaries by allocating 12 billion rubles. from the budget. Salaries will increase teachers, doctors, university professors, representatives of science and culture.
