The prosecutor warned the Russians about the ban on receiving pensions

In Russia, receiving pensions through deceit faces serious punishment. This was recalled by the teacher of the Institute of World Economy and Business of the Peoples' Friendship Friendship University, prosecutor Maria Kormilitsyna in an interview with the Prime agency.

Thus, Article 159.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation establishes liability for embezzlement in the field of social payments. These crimes damage both the budget and off-budget state funds, Kormilitsyna noted.

We are talking about payments that attackers receive fraudulently. Namely, they provide deliberately false information that gives the right to social benefits.

The moment when a citizen receives a pension legally, but loses the right to it due to a change in living conditions, is also regarded as fraud. Withholding information about a change of residence is also punishable by law.

Another violation is when a citizen receives additional payments from the Pension Fund of Russia for the maintenance of disabled family members, without notifying the FIU that the dependent is actually working. It is also forbidden to receive certain types of surcharges and work at the same time.

Earlier, the specialist told in what period it is more profitable for a pensioner to quit.
