In Kiev, they told what losses Ukraine suffers due to reports of the “invasion” of Russia

Ukraine is losing $2-3 billion a month due to the spread of reports about the "Russian invasion". This was stated by Deputy Head of the Office of the Ukrainian President Rostislav Shurma, TASS reports.

According to him, we are talking about freezing investments, additional inflation, losses in the tourism industry, and a reduction in air travel. In addition, there is speculative pressure on financial markets, which blocks borrowing, affects the exchange rate, the damage from this is about $1.5-2 billion (in January-February 2022), Shurma said.

“If the situation stabilizes informationally, at least in such a state as it is now, then the pain threshold will rise and in two months there will be no such losses,” the politician expressed his opinion.

Shurma believes that $4-5 billion is required to stabilize the Ukrainian economy, these funds will help continue the planned state programs. However, he did not rule out that the external situation could change.

Since the autumn of last year, the Western media, as well as in Ukraine, have been claiming that Russia is allegedly preparing a “large-scale invasion” of Ukraine. In Moscow, such allegations have been repeatedly rejected.

Earlier, the White House said that Russia continues to prepare for an “invasion” of Ukraine.
