Moldova (bbabo.net), - Former Prime Minister Ion Chicu believes that the Republic of Moldova can feed itself. He stated this in the program on TVC-21.
"People do not go to the polls for various reasons. Most of the reasons lie in the fact that political parties are not able to convince people to support them or even go to the polls," Chicu notes.
He believes that it is necessary to think first of all about our country.
"We must be friends with everyone - with the left, the right, Europe, Russia, and so on. But first of all, we need to think about our country. Those politicians who immediately declare that they can only attract so-called "help" from abroad express disrespect for our people, our country. We have already said many times that our country is able to develop itself, feed itself. We have cited figures many times. 7% or maximum 8% of all state expenditures per year are loans, grants due to frontier," Chicu said.
The politician claims that we get the rest from taxes.
"I am sure that our country can be developed, but for this we and any other constructive political party need to make sure that the intelligentsia is included in political life. It must be admitted that now the majority of people who represent the color of the nation are able to think constructively, do not want get dirty with politics.There are few teachers, doctors in politics.
They once burned themselves and no longer want to deal with politics, but these people should determine the course of the country. If the intelligentsia does not return to leading roles in the country, we have no way out. People who are limited professionally and mentally, not to mention culturally, cannot govern the country," says Chicu.
