Russia - Sputnik City in Primorye received additional funding

Russia (bbabo.net), - The volume of federal funding for the creation of the infrastructure of the Nadezhdinskaya advanced development territory (TOR) in the Primorsky Territory has been increased from 6 to 33.6 billion rubles. According to the official website of the Cabinet of Ministers, the decree was signed by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

It is noted that the funds have already been provided in the federal budget within the framework of financing the activities of the state program "Social and Economic Development of the Far Eastern Federal District."

The money will go to the creation of engineering and transport infrastructure for the implementation of investment projects for current and future residents of the ASEZ.

These are projects in the field of transport and logistics, fish and wood processing, production of building materials and food, as well as a comprehensive project to create a satellite city on the land of this TOP.

Information about plans to build a completely new city 30 kilometers from Vladivostok was announced in September at the Eastern Economic Forum.

It is planned that the number of its inhabitants will be 300 thousand people, within the framework of the project 2.8 million square meters of housing will be built. With its appearance, the Vladivostok agglomeration may become one of the cities with a population of over one million. According to the head of the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East, Alexei Chekunkov, this could happen in 10 years.

The minister noted that such a city could be called Sputnik in honor of the achievements of Soviet space science.
