Russia - Volodin appreciated the appointment of Gryzlov as ambassador to Belarus

Russia (bbabo.net), - Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin commented on the appointment of Boris Gryzlov as Russian Ambassador to the Republic of Belarus.

"Boris Vyacheslavovich Gryzlov has vast political experience," the speaker told reporters. "He is prepared for such responsible work."

According to Volodin, Gryzlov knows Belarus well and is well known there. After all, he participated in various positions in the preparation and implementation of decisions aimed at the integration of the two countries, and for eight years he headed the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia.

"Boris Vyacheslavovich is distinguished by a responsible attitude to business, efficiency in defending the interests of the country," Volodin believes. "He knows how to conduct a dialogue. I would like to wish him success."

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on this appointment. By another decree, he released Yevgeny Lukyanov from the duties of the Russian ambassador in Minsk.

At the end of December, the candidacy of Boris Gryzlov, chairman of the Supreme Council of the United Russia party, for the post of Russian ambassador to Belarus was approved in the State Duma by the profile committee on CIS affairs.
