Russia - Pediatrician: Additional checks of children for vaccination against COVID-19 are not needed

Russia (bbabo.net), - Literally from today in Yugra, you can get a "children's" vaccination against coronavirus.

The Sputnik M vaccine, intended for minors aged 12-17, can be delivered at a polyclinic at the place of residence, and in the future - at an educational institution for a teenager. Moreover, any additional examinations, in addition to those that children regularly undergo as part of professional examinations, are not required.

“An examination before vaccination is enough, and this is the collection of an epidemiological history, the doctor’s examination itself and the study of the data that are in the medical records of each teenager,” Galina Shipilova, the chief freelance pediatrician of the Yugra Health Department, quotes the portal ugra-news.ru

The specialist also reminded that the power of the vaccine in comparison with Sputnik V was reduced by five times. Of the side effects, only pain and redness at the injection site, fever and headache were noted.

The first batch of vaccine for minors arrived in the Autonomous Okrug the day before - 1200 doses.
