Russia - Planned medical care canceled in the clinics of the Leningrad region

Russia (bbabo.net), - Since January 28, the provision of planned medical care has been banned in the Leningrad Region. The corresponding amendments to the anti-covid resolution were signed by Governor Alexander Drozdenko.

According to the regional government, polyclinics will provide only emergency care. At the same time, obstetricians and gynecologists will continue to work as usual.

From today, residents of the Leningrad region will not be able to undergo preventive examinations and medical examinations. Medical examinations remain only for babies of the first year of life.

Dispensary supervision of adults and children will be carried out only with the help of telemedicine.

Planned care in day hospitals is also cancelled. An exception was made only for chemotherapy for cancer.

Restrictions were introduced due to the spread of COVID-19 in the region. According to the stopcoronavirus.rf portal, 1027 cases of coronavirus infection have been detected in the Leningrad region over the past day.
