Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said the strategic partnership between Moscow and Beijing would support the debate over security guarantees in Europe with NATO and the United States. The Kremlin spokesman spoke about this at a briefing.

“Russian-Chinese relations have a special character, this is an advanced strategic partnership. And any contacts in the spirit of such a partnership are being carried out, ”Peskov explained.

Also, the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation commented on the information that the head of the Russian Ministry of Defense, Sergei Shoigu, allegedly had to go to the capital of China.

“I didn’t hear that Shoigu would go to Beijing, there was no talk of this,” Peskov added.

Earlier, Beijing supported Russian proposals for security guarantees.

The Chinese Foreign Ministry also said that Russia's proposals on security guarantees increase mutual trust in the world. Beijing has always stood for mutually respectful dialogue between countries.
