The press service of the All-Russian Cossack Society said that the General Staff of Russia and the East Kazakhstan region signed an agreement on cooperation in attracting Cossacks to the country's mobilization reserve. It is reported by TASS.

“Two documents were signed at once - a contract on staying in the mobilization human reserve and an additional agreement. It spelled out the procedure for the interaction of the registered Cossacks with the leadership of the military districts and commissariats of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation. An additional agreement concluded between the General Staff and the East Kazakhstan region regulates the procedure for interaction between the army and the Cossacks in attracting Cossacks to the mobilization reserve and carrying out relevant activities, ”the publication says.

The publication notes that the agreement was signed by the Ataman of the East Kazakhstan region, Cossack General Nikolai Doluda, and the head of the Main Organizational and Mobilization Directorate of the General Staff of the RF Armed Forces, Deputy Chief of the General Staff, Colonel General Yevgeny Burdinsky.

Earlier it became known that the Russian authorities are discussing a more active participation of the Cossacks in public service. They can be involved in nature protection, as well as create separate Cossack battalions of the National Guard.
