State Department spokesman Ned Price said that the United States is in favor of the full implementation of the Minsk agreements and sees them as a way to defuse the Ukrainian conflict, but considers Russia to be guilty of violating the agreements, RIA Novosti reports.

“The fact remains that one of the parties to these agreements is responsible for the vast majority of violations, but all parties must adhere to the Minsk agreements as a way to de-escalate tensions, especially in the current situation,” Price said.

The United States continues to accuse Russia of violating the Minsk agreements, although Moscow has repeatedly stressed that it is not a party to the Ukrainian conflict.

Earlier, Secretary of the Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council Oleksiy Danilov called the Minsk agreements impracticable and said that their implementation would lead to the destruction of Ukraine. According to him, they were signed "at the muzzle of a Russian pistol" with the participation of Germany and France.
