In London, revealed the details of the conversation between Putin and Johnson

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson held a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, during which he "expressed deep concern about the current hostile activity of Russia on the border with Ukraine." This was reported in the press service of the head of the British government.

During the conversation, Johnson also stressed the need to find a way forward that respects both Ukraine's territorial integrity and the right to self-defense. The Prime Minister stressed that any further Russian invasion of Ukraine would be a tragic miscalculation.

The British Prime Minister also noted NATO's open door policy. According to him, all European democracies have the right to apply for membership in the alliance, and this right "fully applies to Ukraine."

Earlier it became known that Russian President Vladimir Putin held talks with British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, during which the parties discussed the Ukrainian crisis and state security guarantees.

The talks between Putin and Johnson were supposed to take place on January 31, but they were postponed due to the fact that the head of the British government spoke in Parliament with a report on parties at his residence in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.
