Russia (bbabo.net), - The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, in a commentary for the media, noted that Russia, fearing possible provocations from the Kiev regime or third countries, decided to optimize the staff of its foreign missions in Ukraine.

At the same time, according to the diplomat, the embassy and consulates of the Russian Federation will continue to perform their main functions.

Zakharova stressed that the United States and Great Britain, apparently, have information about military actions being prepared in Ukraine, which could significantly complicate the security situation.

The diplomat recalled the situation in early January, when a number of Western media disseminated false information about the alleged evacuation of the Russian diplomatic corps from Ukraine. Zakharova noted that the purpose of these “stuffings” was to create an information cover for the start of the evacuation of the embassies of various countries from Kiev.
