Japan urged its citizens to evacuate from Ukraine

The Japanese authorities have raised the danger level for the entire territory of Ukraine to the fourth (maximum) level due to a hypothetical aggravation of the situation there, the Kyodo agency reports.

The country's Foreign Ministry called on all Japanese citizens who are on Ukrainian territory to immediately leave this state. According to some information, we are talking about 150 Japanese who still remain in the settlements of Ukraine.

At the same time, a "crisis headquarters" was created under the administration of the Prime Minister of Japan, where the latest information about the situation in Ukraine will be collected.

It is noteworthy that official Tokyo took such steps after the consultations of the countries participating in the Quadripartite Security Dialogue QUAD (Australia, India, the United States and Japan) at the level of foreign ministers that took place on February 11 in Melbourne.

On the sidelines of this event, Japanese Foreign Minister Yoshimasa Hayashi held a separate meeting with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken. The parties touched, in addition to the development of bilateral relations, topical issues on the international agenda, including the situation in Ukraine, the North Korean missile program and the Chinese problem.
