On Friday, the head of state held a meeting with the Security Council of the Russian Federation. The participants of the conversation discussed issues of interaction with the CIS countries.

"It (this topic) is certainly one of the key ones for us, as I already said. We have many initiatives here, a very good dialogue with our leading partners, a large volume of trade, we work with many of them within the framework of the EurAsEC, within the framework of the Collective Security Treaty," Putin said opening the meeting.

He noted that recent events show that all this work gives a positive result and is in demand. “Today we will talk with you about how to improve the mechanisms that have been created in this area in recent years,” the head of state added.
