British Prime Minister Boris Johnson doubts that Russia has decided to invade Ukraine. The politician referred to British intelligence data on the movements of Russian troops during a joint press conference with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg, Interfax reports.
According to him, the absence of a solution does not rule out that an attack could still occur.
“Our intelligence is watching the concentration of troops on the border with Ukraine, and this is probably the most dangerous moment for the next few days,” the British prime minister said.
Earlier, Boris Johnson announced the UK's readiness to build up military capacity in Eastern Europe amid the threat of Russia's "invasion" of Ukraine. In particular, the British prime minister did not rule out sending fighter jets and ships to protect the southeastern states of the region. In Russia, Johnson's words were considered a provocation, indicating that the British armed forces could not pose a real threat. More details - in the material.
