Two-thirds of Americans couldn't find Ukraine on the world map

Most US residents do not know where Ukraine is, according to a Morning Consult survey. According to the study, only 34% of respondents were able to find the republic on the world map. At the same time, 72% of the respondents were able to determine the position of Russia.

The company's survey was conducted against the background of the continuation of the information campaign launched by Western politicians about the alleged threat of a "Russian invasion" of Ukraine. According to the conclusions of sociologists, respondents who know the location of the Ukrainian state on the world map take a tougher position on the issue of confronting Russia's "aggression".

Thus, 58% of respondents, among those who know where Ukraine is, supported the introduction of serious sanctions against Moscow, including against Russian President Vladimir Putin, in the event of an “attack” on Ukrainian territory. At the same time, among respondents who do not know the Ukrainian location, only 41% supported such measures.

In addition, 50% of Americans who were able to find Ukraine on the map are in favor of continuing to send weapons to Kiev to put pressure on Russia. Among those who cannot find the Ukrainian state on the map, only 37% support this decision.

Earlier it was reported that the United States is considering sanctions against the Russian Federation due to “cyber attacks” on Ukraine.
