Russian Ambassador to Belarus and plenipotentiary in the contact group to resolve the situation in Donbass Boris Gryzlov said that Ukraine refuses to conduct a direct dialogue with representatives of the DPR and LPR. The statement was made after the meeting of the contact group on 9 February.

"Despite all the assurances, the Ukrainian negotiators still did not submit any proposals for a peaceful political settlement of the conflict and once again refused to respond in the contact group to the relevant proposals of Donetsk and Luhansk. There is still no positive or negative answer to them," - Gryzlov told reporters.

At the same time, the Russian plenipotentiary notes, Kiev continues to build up an army group in the conflict zone.

"As recently as yesterday, President Macron publicly stated that Vladimir Zelensky is ready to implement the Minsk agreements. But this has not yet affected the behavior of the Ukrainian side," Gryzlov stressed.
