Political scientist Alexander Lazarev said that US President Joe Biden is ready to “give” Ukraine to Russia so that Moscow stops moving closer to China. He spoke about this on the air of the Nash TV channel.
Lazarev stressed that the States no longer need Kiev due to changes in foreign policy guidelines. Previously, Washington used Zbigniew Brzezinski's strategy to contain Russia as a continental power. Now the White House has tuned in to fight the PRC, the political scientist claims.
“Since 2018, when they failed to implement this project (in life), they realized that China is already the main threat to them. And Ukraine has become simply a non-priority foreign policy of the United States, but remains profitable for companies that earn money here, ”said Lazarev.
He stressed that at the moment Ukraine is trying to go under the protection of the UK.
“The Americans are making concessions to the Russian Federation so that it does not merge with China. They are ready to give up Ukraine and want to give it up. Biden has repeatedly said: "We will never fight for you." Then there will be a war between the forces of the North Atlantic Alliance and Russia, and this is a nuclear war, ”the political scientist added.
Earlier, American political science professor David Hendrickson said that the United States fanned the hysteria around the “war” with Russia in order to stop the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline project.
