Russia - In St. Petersburg, distance learning was canceled in schools

Russia (bbabo.net), - Schools and clubs in St. Petersburg returned to normal work from Monday. The restrictions imposed on children due to the increase in the incidence of coronavirus have ended. From February 14, students return to classes again, open doors and all institutions of additional education.

Recall that quarantine for children was introduced by decision of the Smolny from the beginning of February. Schoolchildren from 7th to 11th grade, college students, as well as all circles and sections were transferred to a remote work format. Citizens took this measure ambiguously. The authorities, in turn, explained their decision by the "vertical takeoff" of the "omicron". In almost two years of the pandemic, more than 150,000 young Petersburgers have been diagnosed with covid. 40 percent of them fell ill within the last month.

The restrictions brought tangible results. The incidence of children during this time has decreased by one and a half times.

By the way, the "children's lockdown" is canceled this week in other regions. So, from February 14, children begin to study offline in the Perm Territory, in Abakan, everyone except first-graders. In Chuvashia, students of grades 1-4 and 9-11 go to school. Most of the schools have opened in Ugra as well. From February 16, schoolchildren of the Sverdlovsk region will also start full-time classes.
