Ukrainian parliamentarian from the Servant of the People party Yegor Chernov expressed the opinion that Washington is conducting an informational special operation against Russia, trying to solve several problems. US Assistant to the President for National Security Jake Sullivan told CNN that Washington could not give an exact date for Russia's "invasion" of Ukraine. “But we say that we are in a period when an invasion, a major military operation, could be launched by Russia in Ukraine any day,” he said.

Shortly before this statement, Verkhovna Rada deputy Yegor Chernov stated on his Facebook page that the American authorities, speaking of Russia's "invasion" of Ukraine, "are conducting one of the largest informational special operations in history against Russia."

According to him, the United States has several tasks that "lie on the surface." People's Deputy believes that the Americans want to mobilize the NATO countries and restore their unity with the West.

Chernov said that the US is trying to create a "persistent toxic image" of Russia on the world stage, as well as to cause as much damage as possible to the Russian economy.

“The purpose of this special operation is also understandable – to finally expel Putin from Europe and make it impossible to create a single Eurasian space “from Vladivostok to Lisbon” and the One Belt, One Road project, where Russia would play a key role,” Chernov said in a post.

Allegedly, therefore, the American authorities are trying to force Moscow "to make the final choice: either dare to launch a large-scale invasion, or eventually withdraw and lock themselves inside their own country."

Chernov noted that this "special operation" carries its own risks. “For Ukraine, this primarily means significant economic losses due to the outflow of investors and panic. But this is a war, and it does not happen without losses, ”the people’s deputy wrote, emphasizing that losses can be reduced if the panic stops.

The politician called for calmness, as he is sure that the Ukrainian army "is ready to give the Russians a hellish reception, and the West's sanctions response will quickly bury the Russian economy."

Putin and Biden talking
