Russia - Olympic champion Denis Spitsov dedicates his victories in cross-country skiing to his deceased father

Russia (bbabo.net), - Denis was born in 1996 in the Vologda village of Vozhega. His father brought him to the ski section when the boy was in the third grade. Denis turned 13 when Sergei Spitsov, who worked in the internal affairs bodies, died in a car accident. Mom miraculously survived.

My father was a police ensign, he went on business trips to the North Caucasus more than once, for which he received the title of combat veteran and medals.

Since then, Denis has dedicated all his major victories to his father. He says that he still feels his father's support: "It was he who brought me to skiing, made me fall in love with them."

His mother Tatyana Nikolaevna is sick of Denis. On the eve of her son's performance, she did not sleep well at night, she was afraid to miss the start of the race. When Denis ran skiathlon, her heart skipped a beat when, as it seemed to her, Denis fell. But it was Alexander Bolshunov. Tatyana Nikolaevna was very nervous: suddenly our guys' skis would break.

The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Vologda region, Viktor Pesterev, has already congratulated Tatyana Spitsova on her son's successful performance at the Beijing Olympics and presented her with a certificate of honor.
