Reuters: France does not believe in Russian offensive actions in Ukraine

A telephone conversation between Russian President Vladimir Putin and French President Emmanuel Macron did not leave the French side with the impression that Russia was planning offensive actions in Ukraine, Reuters reports.

According to the representative of the Elysee Palace, during the discussion of the Ukrainian theme, there was no feeling that "Russia is preparing an offensive."

The Presidents of France and Russia had a telephone conversation on Saturday lasting 1 hour and 40 minutes. On Monday, President Macron traveled to Moscow, where he held five-hour talks with President Putin to discuss ways to de-escalate the crisis. After that, Macron paid visits to Kiev and Berlin, TASS reports.
