“They are feeding readers with new lies”: the Liberal Democratic Party threatened to sue online media

In Telegram channels, information appeared about the serious condition of the leader of the Liberal Democratic Party, Vladimir Zhirinovsky. Immediately after that, the press service of the party denied these data, saying that the politician is on the mend, and lawyers are preparing lawsuits against online media that spread "lies." Although earlier in they had a different opinion about the interest of publications in the state of the politician. The condition of the leader of the Liberal Democratic Party Vladimir Zhirinsky is assessed by doctors as serious, writes the Telegram channel "112". According to the publication, the politician is on oxygen therapy under a ventilator. “In addition, doctors diagnosed the head of the Liberal Democratic Party with serious inflammatory processes in the brain,” the post “112” says.

In response to this, the press service was indignant and denied the data. The LDPR website states that the party leader is "on the mend." Representatives of the politician expressed dissatisfaction with the "unprecedented level of lies in the media."

“Almost every day, a number of no name media stuff readers with new lies from “anonymous sources” about the health of Vladimir Zhirinovsky, although none of their previous “insiders” came true, all turned out to be primitive fairy tales that sometimes contradict themselves,” the publication emphasizes.

The party said they would stop working with publications that speculate on the news "without the slightest verification."

“And the party’s lawyers, in this regard, are already collecting materials for filing lawsuits,” the LDPR said, warning online media that citing “rumors about Vladimir Zhirinovskaya could seriously damage the reputation” of the publication or even turn into a statement in court.

The party stated that Zhirinovsky is in a stable condition and is on the mend. “He communicates with assistants, passes instructions to deputies and the apparatus, regularly receives working documents and fresh press. He continues to lead the LDPR and is aware of all the events taking place in the party, ”the politician’s representatives once again said.

Reports that Zhirinovsky was hospitalized appeared on February 9. Telegram-channel Mash reported about 50-75% defeat of an easy deputy. On the same day, the press service of the party, in a commentary to RIA Novosti, stated that he "feels good and continues to work." According to the Ministry of Health, the politician at that time was in a stable condition, and he was provided with the necessary medical care.

The department said that Zhirinovsky was placed in the Central Clinical Hospital of Moscow on February 2. The politician was diagnosed with a new strain of coronavirus - "omicron". This information was also confirmed by the Administration of the President of the country (the medical institution is under its jurisdiction), writes RIA Novosti.

The next day, Kommersant, citing a source, published an article stating that Zhirinovsky hid the coronavirus disease for two weeks. Allegedly, members of the central apparatus of the party were informed that Zhirinovsky was leaving for a remote location in order to prevent the spread of the virus. But at the same time, the close circle allegedly knew that Zhirinovsky had already become infected.

On the same day, the party announced that Zhirinovsky feels fine and continues to lead the Liberal Democratic Party. In addition, the politician's representatives added that "he will soon return to full-fledged, active work."

The press service of the Liberal Democrats added that the Russians wish Zhirinovsky to recover. “We would like to note that these days a huge number of citizens send their warmest wishes to him. We are grateful to everyone for the kind words addressed to the LDPR leader. Well, the colossal media attention to Vladimir Zhirinovsky only demonstrates his importance in the public policy of Russia,” the February 10 publication says.

Russian President Vladimir Putin also expressed his wishes for recovery. This was stated by his press secretary Dmitry Peskov.

On February 13, the Liberal Democratic Party warned fellow party members about telephone attacks with the transfer of information about the alleged death of Vladimir Zhirinovsky.

“There were provocations, nightly phone calls about the death of Vladimir Volfovich, they went all over the country. We explained the situation - that this is a lie and unfounded, ”said Sergey Karginov, first deputy head of the central office of the Liberal Democratic Party, State Duma deputy, to RIA Novosti. He stressed that people should understand that "a provocation is underway."

According to the Ministry of Health, on February 14, the condition of the party leader is stable: "Doctors continue to provide him with all the necessary medical care."

At the same time, in a commentary to Lente.ru, immunologist Nikolai Kryuchkov said that if Zhirinovsky has been on a ventilator for a long time, then “this, to put it mildly, is not very good”: “This is necessary if a person dies otherwise, there is a hopeless situation.”

Earlier, Vladimir Zhirinovsky himself on the air of Komsomolskaya Pravda radio stated that he had been vaccinated against the coronavirus eight times. In his opinion, this saved him at that time (December a year has passed) from infection with the virus. In his Telegram channel, the politician clarified that he used exclusively domestic vaccines - Sputnik V, EpiVacCorona, KoviVac.
