According to vice-speaker Pyotr Tolstoy (he will head the new structure), it will include representatives of all factions.

"The group itself is being created with the blessing of His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia," Tolstoy specified.

Within its framework, legislators will work to improve the protection of the country's traditional values ​​- together with representatives of all traditional faiths.

Such work, according to Tolstoy, is necessary in connection with the recently adopted amendments to the Constitution of the Russian Federation. "We consider it necessary to correlate the legislative decisions considered by the State Duma with the traditional values ​​of our country, the interests of families, and the tasks of saving people set by the president," the parliamentarian said.

In addition, when adopting amendments in the field of culture, education, digital technologies, health care, and security, the deputies, according to him, consider it necessary to be guided not only by considerations of efficiency, but also by "ideas of morality embedded in the Russian cultural code."
