Deputy President of the Russian Academy of Education (RAO), Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Medical Sciences Gennady Onishchenko, in an interview with kp.ru, told why LDPR leader Vladimir Zhirinovsky is having a hard time with the coronavirus.
According to the former head of Rospotrebnadzor, the politician "delayed hospitalization" due to "personal characteristics."
“Well, apparently, after all, this is due to the self-esteem of the individual, that this illness cannot touch him in any way, especially with such careful observance of precautionary measures, perhaps even excessive use of specific prophylaxis,” Onishchenko explained.
The doctor stressed that if Zhirinovsky immediately went to the hospital, now he would feel much better and no one would even know about his hospitalization and illness.
On February 9, it became known that Zhirinovsky was hospitalized with a coronavirus infection. Various media reported that he was in serious condition with bilateral pneumonia. Politician lung involvement estimates range from 30 to 75%.
Earlier, the Ministry of Health announced that the condition of Zhirinovsky hospitalized with "omicron" is stable.
