Russia (bbabo.net), - Over the past month, the number of doctor calls in Omsk has almost tripled. A taxi will help doctors cope with the increased workload. An additional hundred cars will be attracted for trips to patients. The regional treasury has already allocated money for this.

More than eighty teams of doctors work in the Omsk ambulance every day, but the demand for ambulances is constantly growing. Every day a new maximum of cases is registered.

According to official data, 98 percent of health workers in the Omsk region have been vaccinated. But due to regular contact with patients, they, although in a mild form, still get sick. With the increased workload, local doctors are physically unable to reach each patient.

In order to defuse the tense situation, the authorities decided to allocate additional funds to provide the outpatient department with vehicles.

- Now doctors will be able to go to patients by taxi. One hundred cars will be at their disposal from eight in the morning until eight in the evening. Including on weekends, - said the regional Minister of Health Alexander Murakhovsky.

Students work in polyclinics and respiratory hospitals as trainee doctors, as middle and junior medical personnel, registrars and administrators. They also participate in the vaccination of the population, take swabs for laboratory tests on COVID-19, and work as operators of a remote medical monitoring center.
