According to her, the "hysteria" of the West is bewildering. “I haven’t seen such a number of fakes, disinformation, stuffing, slander, lies in a concentrated form for a long time,” Zakharova noted, adding that even in the situation with Syria there was no such amount of “misinformation.”

“Unfortunately for many Western media, the war did not take place again. It would be funny, but we still operate with what scares the whole world - the concept of war. Yes, they tried to do everything to make it happen. On the pages of their newspapers there were battles serious, but this has nothing to do with reality. But they do not lose heart, they continue to wait for it with perseverance worthy of better use," the diplomat said.

As Zakharova drew attention, there are no facts that would confirm the possibility of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, there are only allegations in the Western media. It is noteworthy that the likelihood of war is denied both in Moscow and in Kiev. "Probably for the first time in the history of mankind, not only the alleged aggressor country, to which the collective West appointed Russia, but also the alleged victim country in the American media performance refuted all the plans stubbornly imposed by the Anglo-Saxon media and war," the diplomat noted.

She called on the West to stop whipping up hysteria around Ukraine. "These actions negatively affect both the settlement of the conflict in Donbass and the overall situation in the field of security and stability in Europe," Zakharova said.
