President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky was invited to speak at the next session of the European Parliament. This was reported on the website of the office of the Ukrainian leader.

On Wednesday, February 16, Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Igor Zhovkva had a telephone conversation with the head of the Cabinet of the President of the European Parliament Alessandro Chiocchetti, they said in the office. Zhovkva welcomed the meeting held in the EU Parliament, which discussed tensions on the Russian-Ukrainian border, and thanked Chiocchetti on behalf of Zelensky for the invitation.

At the meeting dedicated to Ukraine, the European deputies, among other things, decided to provide financial assistance to Kiev. The decision was justified by the fact that the hypothetical Russian invasion provoked problems in the Ukrainian economy.

Then, in London, the building of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was lit up in the colors of the Ukrainian flag as a sign of solidarity with Ukraine.
