Russia - In Tyumen, a house-building plant will be turned into a technopark

Russia (bbabo.net), - Today starts an international competition for the best project for the renovation of DSK-500 (house-building plant) - in the recent past one of the most advanced industries in Western Siberia, but, unfortunately, died prematurely. There is a plan to create an industrial technopark on the basis of a closed enterprise, attractive for creative and innovative companies.

This park will not at all look like industrial ones, of which there are two in the Tyumen region - Borovsky and Bogandinsky. On the compact site of the first (less than 30 hectares) in the suburbs of Tyumen fit 12 small and clean industries of various profiles. The second has ten times more territory, it is still far from being filled. These parks were born in an open field, where gas, water, and electricity were previously supplied for state funds. DSK, on the other hand, is located within the boundaries of the city; they are not going to demolish buildings with a low degree of wear in order to build something from scratch instead of them.

It should be clarified that DSK-500 is a truly grandiose project of the late Soviet era, which was supposed to ensure the production of up to half a million square meters of wooden houses, timber and panel, equipped with furniture. The best equipment at that time, Finnish and German, was mounted. The production complex itself with well-thought-out logistics occupied 23 hectares - 40 percent of the area of the DSK industrial zone. The ups and downs with privatization and business management ended at the beginning of this century with the curtailment of profile production.

It is planned to allocate 15 hectares for the technopark. It must "meet modern requirements for the organization of space for production, engineering, science and education." The Agency for Infrastructure Development of the Tyumen Region hopes that an international competition for the best architectural concept will help achieve internal and external harmony. The authors of the best works are rewarded. The maximum reward is 1.2 million rubles.

At the first stage of the creation of the park, it is planned to invest 5 billion rubles in it. Probably the use of infrastructure credit. It is assumed that with the completion of the project, the reanimated DSK-500 will employ a total of about two thousand people.

What about the neighbors?

The construction of the scientific and technological center Uniti Park in Surgut promises to be the most expensive project in the Tyumen macroregion. Recently, a new estimate of the volume of investments was announced - 90 billion rubles. Most of the costs will come from the budget. Within 10 years, a center for high biomedical technologies, a technology park, a convention and exhibition center, a data processing center, a separate residential town with a school, kindergartens, a clinic, a sports complex, and a hotel should grow on the territory adjacent to the university and the river embankment. This and next year, 6.3 billion rubles will be transferred from the federal treasury to Uniti Park in the form of an infrastructure loan.
