Russia - Acting head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations spoke out against the commercialization of the work of rescuers

Russia (bbabo.net), - Acting head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations Alexander Chupriyan expressed the opinion that the work of rescuers should not be commercialized. Such a statement was made at the annual expanded board of the Russian Emergencies Ministry with the participation of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“In search of a better life, we should not plunge into unnatural commercialization through the provision of paid services to the population,” he said. “The very philosophy of the Russian Emergencies Ministry and the spirit of humanism of the rescue service is contrary to the implementation of commercial services in the field of rescue,” he said.

The head of the department noted that it is necessary to look formats in the training of rescuers, the development of the material and technical base, to update the response organization and to resolve issues of social security for rescuers.

According to TASS, earlier Alexander Chupriyan already expressed a similar opinion after the appearance of information about the transfer of part of the services of the State Central Airmobile Rescue Squad "Centrospas" to a commercial basis. Already in the rank of acting minister, Alexander Chupriyan canceled the order to liquidate the detachment and reorganize it from FGKU to FGBU. The reform was conceived by the authors in order to allow rescuers to earn money.
