Over the past 24 hours, the situation on the line of contact in Donbass has escalated significantly. This was announced by the representative of the People's Militia of the self-proclaimed Luhansk People's Republic, Yan Leshchenko.

He called on international observers to record the facts of aggressive actions by the Kiev security forces and take immediate measures to prevent bloodshed in the Donbass.

Earlier, the representative office of the LPR at the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of the Ceasefire reported that the Armed Forces of Ukraine had violated the ceasefire regime four times since the beginning of the day in the zone of responsibility of the LPR. Nine settlements came under fire. Moreover, as reported, the shooting was carried out from mortars.

"The fired from mortars with a caliber of 120 and 82 mm, mounted anti-tank grenade launchers SPG-9, automatic mounted grenade launchers AGS-17 and a heavy machine gun," the report says. Data on the dead and wounded are not given.

Recall that since mid-2020, a package of additional measures to strengthen and control the ceasefire regime has been in force in Donbass. The document, in particular, prohibits the use of weapons, the placement of military equipment near settlements, and the conduct of engineering work on positions.
