Russia - Missile control system to be upgraded by 2030

Russia (bbabo.net), - In the next eight years, the Russian missile attack warning system (SPRN) will be updated. Some of the radar stations are being upgraded. And in some northern regions, new radar stations of high factory readiness of the Voronezh type will be put on combat duty. Two such stations are currently being built, and another one is going to be laid down.

"In the active phase of implementation - work on the creation of a radar complex in the Vorkuta region, a high-potential radar station in the Murmansk region, the design of a new radar station being created in the Far East has been completed," Sergei Suchkov, head of the Main Missile Attack Warning Center, told Krasnaya Zvezda.

Earlier, the general designer of the early warning system, Sergei Boev, said that Russia was modernizing three operating radar stations - in the Krasnodar Territory, Leningrad and Irkutsk Regions. The Voronezh stations operate in various ranges, are capable of detecting launches and tracking the flight path of missiles thousands of kilometers from the observation point.
