Russia (bbabo.net) - Moscow and Washington should develop a new "security equation", its component should be the issue of intermediate and shorter range missiles (INF). This is stated in Russia's written response to the United States on proposals in the field of security, which is published on the website of the Russian Foreign Ministry.

"Russia continues to advocate an integrated approach to strategic issues. We propose to engage in the joint development of a new "security equation," the document says.

One of the priority topics in the new "equation" should be the problems of the INF Treaty.

“We believe that this category of weapons is a necessary component of the new “security equation,” the Foreign Ministry noted and added that they continue to proceed from the relevance of Russian initiatives in this area. They are based on the “idea of ​​mutually verifiable moratoriums on the deployment of ground-based INF missiles in Europe” .
