Biden cuts short Ohio trip over 'what's happening in Europe'

US President Joe Biden interrupted a trip to Ohio due to deteriorating weather conditions and events taking place in Europe. This is reported by the New York Post.

The head of the White House spoke in support of his infrastructure initiatives in the city of Loraine, but said that he urgently needed to return to the capital.

“The reason they told me it was time to leave — I didn’t intend to go so soon — was because of the bad weather coming to Washington. And a small thing is happening in Europe right now,” Biden said. He did not specify what events in Europe he was talking about. The publication notes that Biden interrupted the visit only 12 minutes earlier.

Earlier, Biden said that the likelihood of Russia's "invasion" of Ukraine in the near future is very high.

In recent months, there have been statements in the West and Kiev in particular about Russia's allegedly impending "invasion" of Ukraine. In turn, the Kremlin has more than once directly denied any plans for an attack, and reports from Western media and officials about the preparation of an attack are called unfounded and untrue.
