According to the plan of the rally, the troops of the coalition group, having repulsed the enemy's offensive in the course of defensive battles, created the conditions for a counteroffensive. The implementation of this tactical episode, the agency clarifies, includes the troops of the Western Operational Command of Belarus, units of the marines of the Pacific Fleet, as well as aviation of the Aerospace Forces of the Russian Armed Forces.
Then, the defending troops, supported by units of missile troops and artillery, in cooperation with the aviation of the Russian Aerospace Forces, the Air Force and the Air Defense Forces of Belarus, proceeded to launch a counterattack.
At the same time, units of the mechanized brigade of Belarus continue to work out the most difficult issues of conducting mock combat at the Gozhsky training ground. And at the Brestsky training ground, units of the special operations forces of the republic, airborne troops and motorized rifle units of the Russian Armed Forces solve the tasks of entering the area of restoring combat capability, as well as destroying illegal armed formations.
Units of the mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Belarus and the marines of the Armed Forces of Russia in the Baranovichi area are pursuing a mock enemy and restoring the situation along the state border line, the agency informs. And Russian missile units are on combat duty in the Osipovichi area.
Special purpose units of both countries are fighting sabotage and reconnaissance groups of a mock enemy in the Maryina Gorka area. At the same time, on the site of the Gomel area, units of the special operations forces of the Belarusian Armed Forces and the Russian Airborne Forces are working out the issues of blocking and destroying sabotage and reconnaissance groups of a mock enemy and illegal armed formations.
The task of preparing and conducting reconnaissance and combat operations on the territory temporarily occupied by a mock enemy is being solved in the area of the Pinsk locality by Belarusian special forces units. And on the Polessky site, units of the missile forces of the Republic of Belarus are being moved to a new area.
The fulfillment of the assigned tasks continues in the Luninets, Mozyr and Rechitsa districts, news portals report.
By the way, to cover the conscientious maneuvers of the Union State, about 60 foreign journalists from the world's leading media arrived at the Obuz-Lesnovsky training ground on Saturday, and more than 120 media representatives are already working here, the agency clarifies.
In addition, in accordance with the invitation sent by the military department of Belarus, representatives of the armed forces of Latvia and Lithuania arrived at the maneuvers. On the eve, the military department of the Republic of Belarus reported, a briefing was held for foreign military observers on the goals and objectives of the joint exercise. And on Saturday they were invited to the Obuz-Lesnovsky combined-arms training ground, where they were able to watch the rally of hostilities.
