In his Telegram channel, the diplomat noted that Western politicians had completely forgotten about human rights and about those "magic words" - "civilian population", "old people and children", "ensuring access for humanitarian organizations", etc. - which allowed Western countries have been violating international law and the laws of sovereign states for many years.

According to the so-called "civilized democracies", which Western countries consider themselves to be, none of the above is required in the Donbass, because from their point of view, this simply does not exist there, Zakharova added.

"All this is there and requires real, not imaginary, help and support," the diplomat stressed, adding that those who continue to refuse to notice the plight in which the inhabitants of Donbass find themselves, will become accomplices in crimes against humanity perpetrated by the Kiev regime.

On the night of February 19, a sharp increase in the number of painful actions along the line of contact was recorded. Against the background of the aggravation of the conflict, the heads of the DPR and LPR signed decrees on general mobilization. Earlier, in connection with the threat emanating from Kiev, a temporary evacuation of the population to the Rostov region was announced, this primarily concerns children, women and the elderly.
